Prozac Side Effects

Ensure that your doctor is aware of any drug reactions that you have experienced

- Prozac may cause drowsiness or lower the patient's level of alertness, thus
possibly affecting their judgement. Thus it is not recommended that persons
who take Prozac do any driving, operate dangerous machinery or participate
in any potentially hazardous activities that require full mental alertness
- When taking Prozac, you may feel dizzy or light-headed or actually faint
when getting up from a sitting or lying position. If getting up slowly doesn't

- If you develop hives or a skin rash while taking Prozac, stop using it immediately
and notify your doctor immediately
Be careful of Prozac's interactions with other drugs / substances
- Combining Prozac with MAO inhibitors (e.g. Nardil and Parnate) is very dangerous
- Never drink alcohol while taking Prozac
- If Prozac is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either may be
increased, decreased, or otherwise changed. It is very important to check

- Warfarin (Coumadin)
